Hey everyone out there and welcome to my profile :-))

Before anyone asks: This is not the name my parents gave me ;-) But I'm a Fantasy-Artist and a friend of mine gave me therefore a Fantasy-Name ;-) But I prefer to be called Mel. It's definitely shorter. ^.^
I'm 19 years old and I'm living in a small town in Bavaria, Germany, making a apprenticeship for chemical laboratory assistant. I started drawing before I started walking, but the Digital Art is actually quite new for me. I started with it about one year ago and I had no teacher but myself and the internet. It was quite a lot work, but I still love it to see the qualitiy of my paintings increase with every picture. I learned that drawing is first and foremost training. Someday I will draw pictures, that look like photos. At least I hope so ^.^
I'm not really sure, whether I can be called a professional. But I'm working for a small (not long anymore ;-)) german publisher called FWZ-Verlag, which has specialized on homoerotic fantasy novels. I make Book-Covers, small graphics and Logos for the books. Therefore are most pictures, I'll post here are somehow related to a book or story of this publisher. And especially for one author, my dear friend and supporter Chris P. Rolls, also known as rihaij. Without her I wouldn't be where I am now :-) In my Gallery you'll find a view of her characters ;-)
I work with GIMP and a quite small graphics tablet from "Trust". Tools a student can afford. Someday I hope to have enough money for Photoshop and a Wacom, but by now I'm happy with my cheap version :-)
Besides painting I like listening to music, especially Symphonic Metal like "Nightwish" or "Within Temptation". I write a little bit, but only for myself. I have fish, a younger brother and really cool parents. I'm a little bit chaotic and tend to begin with things without ever finishing them. And I love nature and start more and more with Landscape Art ^.^
And I hope I didn't bore you to death ;-)
